For a 10-day rental, it took 4 days to rectify the cleanliness of the pool and the functionality of the barbecue. Furthermore, we were unable to enjoy the courtyard due to very noisy construction work on the neighboring property. We requested a discount as compensation, as we had to go to paid beach clubs to find peace and quiet. We received no response to our request from the owner, and Vrbo told us they couldn't do anything. So much for customer protection! The owner and Vrbo's easy response: "We're sorry, it's beyond our control." No consequences for our ruined vacation?
